Bully Ray Explains Why Seth Rollins Losing to Cody Rhodes Could Have a Huge Impact

Bully Ray believes Seth Rollins losing to Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel could lead to a major breakdown for Rollins.

Tensions are already rising between Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman. On WWE RAW, Heyman warned Seth that if he loses to Cody Rhodes, he would need to question why he was chosen over Roman Reigns, leaving Rollins with doubt and pressure ahead of his match against Rhodes.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray explained that a loss for Seth Rollins could create compelling drama. He said, “This match, to me, is more about the finish and what happens after the match than the actual match itself. Yeah, they’re going to fight for the ring. Yeah, yeah, yeah—the ring. Nice. Okay, whatever. It’s what’s going to happen afterwards.”

“Because like you just said, if Seth loses again, no bueno for Seth. Cody loses, and no big deal. He lives to fight another day. He’s a great babyface. Yada, yada. It’s the story coming out of the match—if there’s a story at all. I want to see Seth Rollins go crazy. And when I say crazy, I want him to have a breakdown because things are not going his way—because he loses to Cody, because he and Paul are on different pages, his wife won’t shut up, the Brons are doing whatever they want to.”

Bully Ray says Seth Rollins’ Lossing could be better for his story

Everything is falling apart at the seams for Seth Rollins. It’s funny you say ‘cracks in the foundation’. We’ve been talking about that term for a long time here, whether it’s involved in storyline or real life in pro wrestling. And I’m a fan of the ‘cracks in the foundation’ storyline because it takes time to play out.”

“Could you imagine that the Brons continue with their winning streak while Seth continues on his losing streak, and Seth is trying to take out all of his frustration on the younger guys and barking orders, and then Bron just turns around one day and he’s like, ‘You better lower your voice.’

“And Seth is like, ‘Don’t you know who I am? I’m Seth Rollins. I’m the visionary and the leader of this group.’ And, you know, one of them also says, ‘And you haven’t won a match in three months.’ Yeah, there’s definitely a lot of layers with all of these characters. It does make it interesting. We’ll see where they go with it. I think that even though I’ve said I think it’s a must-win match for Seth, it’s better for the Seth story if he loses again.” [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
