There’s a positive update on NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne following an injury scare at a live event last week.
Jayne teamed with her Fatal Influence partner, Fallon Henley, against ZARUCA (ZARIA and Sol Ruca) at an NXT house show on October 9. The NXT Women’s Champion reportedly suffered a potential leg injury and had to be assisted to the back.
According to F4WOnline.com’s Bryan Alvarez (via Wrestling Observer Radio), Jacy Jayne has avoided a serious injury. He also noted that Fallon Henley might be dealing with an injury after Sol Ruca accidentally landed on her head during the match.
“So the update on Jacy Jayne is apparently she’s fine,” Alvarez said. “However Fallon is now injured. They did an assisted Sol Snatcher spot on a house show and it got botched and Sol landed right on Fallon’s head. Hopefully she’s OK and back in action soon, but was told it looked really bad.”
Jacy Jayne is scheduled to defend her title against Tatum Paxley at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25. Tatum earned a shot at the title by winning a 20-woman over-the-top-rope battle royal this past Tuesday on NXT.
