Sexy Star Claims Rosemary Was Dishonest About Infamous 2017 In-Ring Incident

Sexy Star addresses an infamous 2017 incident involving herself and Rosemary.

Back at AAA TripleMania XXV, former AAA Reina De Reinas Champion Sexy Star allegedly used a legitimate cross armbar submission that caused injury, specifically a strained triceps and bicep, to Rosemary. Eight years later, Sexy Star is sharing her point of view of what happened at the event and the fallout that came after.

“Despite that, I didn’t attack her,” Star said on Latin Lover’s YouTube channel (translated from Spanish to English). “She spat at me. And aside from that, [she’s] still telling a version of something that never happened. I understand because I went through the same thing. When you start, sometimes you don’t have that much time, that much experience in sports. I want to think that was…what happened. I want to think, I don’t know. And I left feeling very attacked.

“I was very attacked by her, by everything she did, by the whole letter she wrote, her country sheltered her without giving me my right to… reply,” she continued. “Because I didn’t feel…I felt alone, I didn’t feel protected by my people. It made me sad that the only people who were you [Latin Lover] and LA Park, who were the only people who stood up for me, got carried away. And there are many colleagues who also know the truth, but don’t want to talk because they don’t want to get into trouble, maybe or I don’t know why, but I have nothing more to say than that.”

Following the 2017 incident, Rosemary did not return to AAA until June 2024, when she, Havok, and Tasha Steelz defeated Lady Flammer, La Hiedra, and Maravilla at TripleMania XXXII: Tijuana. AAA stripped Sexy Star of the Reina De Reinas Championship shortly after TripleMania XXV; Various promotions also barred Star from working for them.
