AEW star Queen Aminata has spoken out after being sidelined due to injury and replaced in upcoming matches.
Before this week’s AEW Dynamite, President Tony Khan announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that Aminata had been pulled from the show and next week’s Women’s Blood and Guts match.
He revealed that Queen Aminata was not medically cleared to compete. Khan revealed that Mina Shirakawa would take Aminata’s place in her scheduled match against Megan Bayne and also compete in the Blood and Guts match.
Khan explained that Aminata had wanted to wrestle despite her condition. However it was AEW’s medical team advised against it. Shirakawa, still motivated after her loss on AEW Collision, was eager to step in and team up with Toni Storm.
Following the announcement, Queen Aminata broke her silence on X. She wrote that while she never backs down from a fight, she has to listen to AEW’s medical staff. She assured fans she’ll be back soon. She wrote, “Even though I’m never the one to back down from a fight, I have to listen to our medical team… See you all soon and stay juicy ??”
On AEW Dynamite, Mina Shirakawa filled in for Queen Aminata but fell short against Megan Bayne after an early lead. The next Advantage Battle match between Jamie Hayter and Skye Blue is set for AEW Collision.
