Killer Kross Says It’s Time To Become ‘Champion’ Again

Killer Kross has begun his pursuit of championship gold.

Kross is back on the independent circuit following an unpleasant exit from WWE. The company decided against renewing his contract despite the tremendous support the former two-time NXT Champion received on weekly television.

Killer Kross made his highly anticipated return to the independent scene at DEFY’s Aeon event in September, where he defeated Calvin Tankman to win the Super Heavyweight Cup. He was also one of Sting’s sons’ debut opponents, teaming with Darby Allin against JD Drake and Steven Borden.

In a new YouTube video, Kross talked about his desire to become a champion again. He referenced his WWE run, implying the lack of recognition that comes with being a champion—something he hasn’t been called in quite some time.

“He just picked it off the bones while the real killer was chained up watching. And, don’t get it twisted. I don’t want the fame or the lights or the noise, I just want it. The feeling. The moment the world goes quiet, and I take back what was stolen from me.

“Not the physical title, the verbal title of being called ‘a champion’. This isn’t about climbing ladders or ‘playing the game’. This is about correction, about balance, about dragging the illusion out and putting it down in front of everybody to see.

“They think they’re champions. They think they’re safe, but you can’t lock the doors when the Devil’s already inside.

“And, when it’s over, and I’m standing above them all and the gold is heavy in my hands again, they will finally learn the true lesson in life: That you don’t just crown a King until the Devil gets his turn. Tick, tock.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
