SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is trying to extend an olive branch to this WWE Superstar ahead of tonight’s show.
On the November 7 episode of SmackDown, Nick Aldis suspended Drew McIntyre. This was a result of McIntyre getting involved in the main event between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black.
Drew McIntyre‘s WWE absence didn’t last long as Paul Heyman selected him as a member of his WarGames team at Survivor Series. Despite that, McIntyre’s suspension on SmackDown remained intact.
Ahead of tonight’s show, Aldis took to social media to extend an invitation for McIntyre to attend tonight’s show in order for the two of them to discuss his potential reinstatement.
“As you know, Drew McIntyre was recently suspended from SmackDown,” Nick Aldis began. “And despite what Drew might think, since that time, I’ve been working tirelessly to try to reinstate him and bring him back where he belongs.
“That’s become increasingly difficult this week. Given the fact that Drew won’t return my calls, has not returned emails, has not returned text messages. So he’s left me no choice but to use this platform to address him directly and say Drew, consider this an official invitation to come here tonight so that we can discuss a resolution together to bring you back to SmackDown.”
