Linda McMahon Performs The Grinch Who Stole Christmas Parody

Linda McMahon took to social media to put a political spin on a classic Christmas story.

In a recent video titled “Merry Christmas, Taxpayers!” posted to X, McMahon — the current United States Secretary of Education — put a spin on the classic Dr. Seuss story How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Clad in a sequined “Make Education Great Again” jacket, McMahon performed a parody of the story, except about the topic of student loan fraud.

“You know the story of a green little thief who tiptoed through Whoville and caused holiday grief?” McMahon said. “Well, this year, a new crew tried to assemble their feet, sneaking and scheming to swipe Student Aid neat. They slithered through paperwork, schemed with delight, like adding fake students deep into the night. They dreamed of a sack stuffed to the brim with billions of dollars.”

The story basically ends with McMahon noting the alleged fraudsters were caught. Instead of their hearts growing three sizes, though, McMahon notes “they just got caught in their disguises.” The video received less-than-stellar reception online, with many criticizing both McMahon and the nature of the video.
