Mike Santana Sees TNA on AMC Debut As Way To Educate Roster

Mike Santana wants to help pay it forward.

Santana has years of experience on live television, as he was a member of the AEW roster for five years. That time gave him a lot more experience working on live television than many of the wrestlers on the TNA roster. During a recent interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Santana said he views TNA’s live debut on AMC Network as a way to teach the TNA roster the ropes, and he wants to lead by example.

“I mean, you said it. I’m absolutely looking at this as an opportunity to show guys and girls who haven’t had this experience and try to school them. I’m a firm believer in paying it forward, and any knowledge that I’ve garnered throughout the years, I feel like it’s my right to pass that along,” Mike Santana said. “I want there to be a business, and I want there to be guys and girls that come after me that have that experience, and hopefully pass it on to the next generation.

“So, yes, definitely, I’m looking at this as an opportunity to help other up-and-comers,” he continued. “But also, so much more comes with live TV, and the pressure is on. There’s no mistakes, you got to be on at all times. I think it’s good, and I think the people who have been in this position before are looking at it in the same light. But, yes, it is exciting. Everyone is motivated, for the most part, and I think we’re gonna do really well.”

Mike Santana says TNA has been firing on all cylinders

TNA Thursday Night Impact will air live on AMC at 9 pm EST on Thursday night. Santana noted how TNA has been on fire lately, and he expects that trend to continue on a new network.

“AMC is trusting us to go live a lot more. So, yeah, I think we’re gonna do really well,” he noted. “And again, I’m gonna be able to pass that knowledge along to the up-and-comers.”

Mike Santana challenges Frankie Kazarian for the TNA World Championship on the live TNA Thursday Night Impact on AMC debut.
