During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Oba Femi got some airtime, promoting the up-and-coming star in WWE.
During tonight’s episode of SmackDown, a brief vignette of Oba Femi and some of his biggest moments in the ring played. Notably, the vignette shared clips of Femi during his time against Cody Rhodes at the most recent WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The vignette showed Femi delivering chokeslams and clotheslines to a variety of stars. These included Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Je’Von Evans, and more. The vignette ended with Femi staring into the camera, potentially signaling that the star is going to be appearing much more across WWE content.
Femi is currently scheduled to defend the NXT Championship against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater at New Year’s Evil on January 6. It’s highly unlikely we’ll see a title change occur in that matchup. But stranger things have happened.
