Mercedes Moné Claims She Never Lost At AEW Worlds End

Mercedes Moné isn’t handling her loss at AEW Worlds End very well. To the point where she’s claiming she never lost at the event at all.

Current TBS Champion Mercedes Moné had a chance to add another title to her resume to close out 2025 when she and Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena took on the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, The Babes of Wrath.

The finish of the match saw Willow Nightingale score the pinfall victory over Moné after reversing her Moné Maker finishing move. After the match, Athena was less than pleased about the effort of her tag partner.

Despite everyone seeing it, it’s not stopping The CEO from giving her own version of the events that went down. Mercedes Moné took to Instagram to post pictures from Saturday’s matchup with the following caption:

“I never lost, I just ran out of time *1 emoji,*” Mercedes Moné said in a post.

Despite what she says, due to her loss, she’ll be defending her TBS Championship against the woman that pinned her on Saturday night, Willow Nightingale, on Dyanmite later this week.

WrestleZone has live coverage of AEW Dynamite every Wednesday evening.

Mercedes Moné fires back at her critics

In the latest issue of the MonéMag, Mercedes Moné wrote about surpassing Ultimo Dragon’s record and delivered a very specific response to the critics over what she’s done this year.

“Breaking Ultimo Dragon’s record and becoming 13 Belts Moné was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life—and it was not easy,” Mercedes Moné wrote. “I defended championships across multiple countries, against countless opponents, on every stage imaginable. I didn’t just break the record—I smashed it and made it global.

“Whether I was wrestling in front of 500 people or 5,000, I gave everything I had as a fighting champion and an even hungrier competitor. This body of work defines my legacy. Why would I acknowledge the critics? The goal is shown. It’s been shown. And for the people that can’t see it, it’s on them.”
