TNA star Matt Hardy has sparked major buzz after teasing a massive WrestleMania dream match involving The Usos and The New Day.
The Usos recently returned to the tag team division and immediately set their sights on tag team titles. They made their comeback in a tag team match with The New Day on December 15, 2021, in WWE RAW.
The match saw the classic The Usos back in top form, as they defeated their longtime rivals The New Day. The victory earned The Usos a WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.
The Usos during the main event of this week’s WWE RAW made records when they took the titles and became nine-time WWE Tag Team Champions. Following the win, TNA star Matt Hardy took to X formerly known as Twitter, to give his congrats to the champions and to hint at a massive face-off at WrestleMania between The Usos and The New Day.
Hardy wrote, “Congrats, @WWEUsos ! Well deserved win as you guys absolutely killed it. Maybe at @WrestleMania , it’s time for The Usos vs The New Day vs The Hardy Boyz in a generational dream match.”
With The Hardy Boyz already making appearances in WWE through the ongoing partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling, the idea does not seem far-fetched. The Hardy Boyz have even competed on WWE NXT and held the NXT Tag Team Championships during this collaboration.
While the WWE–TNA partnership is currently centered around NXT, the legendary status of The Hardy Boyz could open the door for a rare main-roster appearance. If that happens, a triple-threat tag team match at WrestleMania featuring The Usos, The New Day and The Hardy Boyz could become dream match turned into reality.
