WWE NXT gave out their year-end awards this evening, and the Male Superstar of the Year raised a lot of eyebrows.
Yearly awards always manage to bring out the worst in wrestling fans. And it seems the NXT year-end awards are no different. One of the main awards causing controversy was for Male Superstar of the Year.
The nominees…?
- Je’Von Evans
- Ricky Saints
- Trick Williams
- Ethan Page
- Oba Femi
The award went to the only one of the four who didn’t capture a championship this year, Je’Von Evans. This was met with quite the reaction on social media, with fans questioning this choice and not understanding how Evans walked away with the award.
How'd he get it over Oba? Obas been champ for like 10 months and Jevon hasn't been able to beat him.
