WWE RAW officially signed Je’Von Evans this week, but there’s a good chance that many of you didn’t see it.
Former NXT Champion Trick Williams officially signed with SmackDown on Friday night. It was expected that RAW General Manager Adam Pearce would answer that with a new RAW signing, and he did just that.
During one of the WWE RAW on Netflix commercial breaks, Pearce came out on the stage with a contract and hyped up NXT star Je’Von Evans. Pearce then brought Evans to the stage and officially made him the newest member of the RAW roster.

Many fans criticized WWE for not airing this on the RAW broadcast
Je’Von Evans has appeared on WWE RAW on Netflix in the past. He’s been seen in backstage segments, and he also scored a victory against Rayo Americano on the December 19, 2025 episode of RAW.
However, many fans were upset that WWE didn’t feature the contract signing on the normal broadcast and found out about it after the fact.
“Je’Von Evans got called up to the main roster…. Off camera. Good job @WWE,” one fan wrote.
“They should have put this on the show. Im a fan of Je’Von Evans this is a big deal. Congrats to him for making it to the main roster,” said another.
The reaction to Je’Von Evans joining RAW wasn’t all negative
A few people pointed out that WWE RAW on Netflix only has commercials in the United States, and the segment did air on the international broadcast. WWE has done promos during ad breaks in the past, but a contract signing seems a bit more significant.
The reaction to Evans joining RAW wasn’t all negative, however, as many fans praised the move to bring him to RAW. “Je’Von Evans has been making waves lately, proving himself as a formidable player on and off the field. His determination and skill are turning heads and inspiring fans everywhere,” one fan wrote on Twitter/X. “Watch out for him!”
Evans has been a very popular member of the WWE NXT roster, and his future on RAW is bright. The reaction to how his signing was announced, however, hopefully leads WWE to consider what does and doesn’t air on everyone’s stream moving forward.
