Jesse Ventura Calls Donald Trump A Draft-Dodging Coward After Minnesota ICE Shooting

Jesse Ventura didn’t hold back in sharing his opinion of President Donald Trump.

Ventura, the WWE legend who served as governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003, visited Roosevelt High School on Thursday to show support after an incident at the school that saw federal officers use pepper spray and detain an employee.

“Good for these people who stood up,” said Ventura (via FOX 9). “They’re teaching their students something, that we are a country, we have to be a country of law and a country of the Constitution. They’re all forgetting about the Constitution of the United States of America. We don’t even have it anymore. After January 6th, are you kidding me?”

Ventura also commented on the Minneapolis ICE raid that saw an ICE agent fatally shoot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen who had recently relocated to the area. The Trump administration claims the incident was an act of self-defense, while many who have seen video of the altercation claim the ICE agent murdered Good.

Jesse Ventura calls out Donald Trump

“[Trump is] the draft-dodging coward who, when it was his time to serve his country, he did what all rich white boys did,” Ventura told FOX 9. “I wasn’t a rich white boy; we had to go. He’s gonna tell me what courage is?”

“Anytime you have the loss of life that needlessly happens, that’s a tragedy,” added Ventura. “What occurred yesterday did not have to happen. There is no way — I’ve seen the tape of it.”

Ventura also teased a potential run for Governor, noting that he only did one term and he’s “owed a second.”

Jesse Ventura returned to WWE in 2025 and appeared as a panelist on WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcasts. His most recent appearance was in December, at John Cena’s final match.
