CM Punk Open To Working With John Cena In James Gunn’s DC Universe

CM Punk says it would be a dream to work with John Cena and James Gunn in the DC Universe.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk recently spoke to Joe Deckelmeier of MovieWeb to promote his new movie Night Patrol. During the conversation, he opened up about possibly reuniting with his iconic rival, John Cena, outside the ring as part of James Gunn’s DC Universe.

CM Punk noted that he feels he and John Cena will work together in some capacity in the future. He also said he would be open to working with Cena if he fits James Gunn’s vision for a character in the DC Universe.

“Oh, I would be a fool to say I didn’t,” CM Punk began. “I think me and John are gonna work together again. I don’t know when, I don’t know where, I don’t know for whom. James Gunn is busy doing this whole DC thing, and it feels like John is a big part of that. Peacemaker is excellent.

“So James Gunn is like a booker, right? Like, he’s gonna have a vision for certain characters and certain people. If I ever fit in one of those visions, man, I’ll do what I can to make sure I can secure the role. But to work with John in that capacity would kind of be a dream.”

CM Punk also expressed interest in working with Dave Bautista again

Speaking further, CM Punk also noted that he’d love to work with former WWE Champion Dave Bautista once again, saying they have stories to tell.

“Same with Dave Bautista. I really want to work with him again, because we got stories to tell. There are stories out there that could probably use me, or him, or John, and I’d jump at the chance to work with either of those guys again,” CM Punk said.
