Shawn Michaels welcomes a popular independent wrestler to WWE NXT.
The Showstopper took to social media to announce Sean Legacy as the newest addition to the NXT roster.
“Congratulations, @Sean_Legacy1!… We’re throwing you right in the deep end TONIGHT 8/7c on @TheCW & @netflix! Welcome to the #WWENXT roster!”
In the clip, Shawn Michaels is seen putting over WWE ID, calling Sean Legacy a testament to the program’s success. He then tells Legacy that he will be competing in the tournament to determine the participants for the NXT Championship Ladder Match.
“The thing is, you’re already so good at this, but the reality is you come down here, you’re part of this full-time, you’re gonna grow exponentially. Even though they’re filming it all, this is all real stuff,” Shawn Michaels said.
“I just feel like your growth will be really different once you come down here and you’re with us full-time. So, congratulations! Yeah, I’m really happy for you. Good job.”
Sean Legacy joined the sports-entertainment juggernaut through the WWE ID program. He has already competed in high-profile matches across EVOLVE and NXT, most recently appearing on WWE’s third brand in November.
