Street Fighter 6 Enlists AEW’s Kenny Omega For New Character MoCap

Kenny Omega‘s love of video games is no secret, and he recently revealed he took part in some work on one.

In a recent post on social media, All Elite Wrestling‘s Kenny Omega revealed that he had recently done some motion capture work for Street Fighter 6. Omega plays the character Alex, who is set to be released in the game on March 17, 2026. In the post, Omega shared some photos of himself working as the character in a full mocap suit. He also teased that Alex was his “favorite character” in the game.

Capcom also shared a new video teasing the character’s addition to the game. In the video, Alex can be seen working out before a series of his in-game action is seen. Quoting the video, Omega also joked that it was like “looking in a mirror.”

The Street Fighter 6 character also used a move in the video that looked eerily similar to Omega’s real-life finish, the One-Winged Angel, which itself is a reference to the Final Fantasy franchise.

Originally appearing in 1997’s Street Fighter III: New Generation, Alex has appeared in a litany of past Street Fighter games. Now, he’ll come to the latest, as part of the game’s new wave of DLC for 2026. Other characters set to arrive this year include Ingrid, who will be released sometime in the late spring.
