Fans are not happy with a recent photo that AEW World Champion Adam “Hangman” Page was seen in on social media.
In a recent post from former wrestler Marty Scurll, he was seen posing with Page outside of a Cracker Barrel. Scurll’s post, which has its comments limited, joked that the pair of “handsome devils” had been reunited. Although comments were limited on the post, fans online were quick to react negatively. Many questions why Page would hang out with Scurll, who has had a litany of allegations pointed against him over the last few years.
For those unaware, years ago, allegations pointed to Scurll having sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in 2015. At the time, Scurll was 26. In 2021, Scurll acknowledged that the pair did have a sexual relationship, which he believed to be consensual. Since then, Scurll — who was a popular name in wrestling — has effectively been retired, or on hiatus. The star hasn’t appeared for many promotions, and it’s unclear if he’ll ever return to the ring for a national company.
As far as Page goes, fans question why the star, who has been an open ally for causes like LGBTQ+ rights and other social issues, would meet up with Scurll. Page has yet to offer up any response or message for the picture as of this time. The pair were friends for some time, though, having been a part of The Elite stable in 2019-20.
