Tommaso Ciampa filed two trademark applications after announcing his departure from WWE.
Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa announced on January 21 that his WWE contract is expiring soon. He thanked the fans and everyone he worked with in WWE, and noted that he was available for outside bookings.
Now, Tommaso Ciampa is gearing up for his post-WWE career, as he has filed two trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He filed to trademark the terms “Psycho Killer” and “Psycho King,” which appear to be nicknames.
The USPTO has accepted both applications, which are yet to be assigned to an examining attorney. The description of Tommaso Cimpa’s applications read:
“Posters made of paper; Printed postcards; Printed picture postcards; Stickers; Collectible printed trading cards; Printed sports trading cards; Collectable printed trading cards.
“Shirts and short-sleeved shirts; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts; Hats; Bandanas; Socks.
“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of sports entertainment for entertainment purposes,” Tommaso Cimapa’s application reads.
Tommaso Ciampa’s tag team partner, Johnny Gargano, reacted to his departure with an emotional post.
