Will The Miz enter the Royal Rumble?
This weekend, 30 men and 30 women will enter the 2026 Royal Rumble matches with the intention of winning and simultaneously securing a title match of their choosing at WWE WrestleMania 42. As of now, a number of spots in both matches remain unconfirmed. On ESPN’s Get Up, though, former WWE Champion The Miz teased that he plans to take one of them.
“As a kid, the Royal Rumble was my absolute favorite PLE that WWE have,” The Miz said. “Two people start, every minute another superstar enters the ring until 30 superstars are in the ring, but the way to get someone out is you toss them over the top rope. So my goal, if I’m in the Royal Rumble, which I have not declared yet, we will soon have to see if I will declare, I’m planning on it, but we will see.
“I plan on throwing over 29 other superstars, winning the Royal Rumble, and we are on the road to WrestleMania. What that means is whoever wins the Royal Rumble is going to be in the main event of WrestleMania, which is our Super Bowl, which is April 18th and 19th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.”
At this point, it’s unclear if The Miz could actually declare himself for this year’s Royal Rumble, given that WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce stated that the Men’s Royal Rumble was totally filled as of Monday. Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor discovered this when he too tried to assert his participation in the match, only to be denied entry by Pearce for the aforementioned reason.
