Chappell Roan’s Topless Grammys Dress Leaves Former WWE Star Speechless

Chappell Roan wore an NSFW dress to the Grammys that has everyone talking.

The 2026 Grammy Awards took place at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night. Roan’s song, “The Subway,” was up for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. She did not win either one, but Roan still commanded plenty of attention due to what she wore.

Chappell Roan wore a sheer red gown on the red carpet before removing the top. Roan’s dress was only held on by nipple clamps on her breasts, which got some shocking responses.

One of the people who commented on Roan’s look is former WWE NXT star McKenzie Mitchell, who currently works for TNA as a ring announcer. Mitchell was at a loss for words after seeing Chappelle Roan and Heidi Klum’s attire, the latter of whom looked tame by comparison.

“What in the?… Why in the?…” Mitchell wrote on Twitter/X.

Roan ultimately changed into a more TV-friendly gown for the broadcast, where she presented the award for Best New Artist.

Roan later admitted to E!’s Zuri Hall that she felt “overstimulated” on the carpet, calling it the “hardest of the whole night for me.”
