Chelsea Green Plans To Stay on WWE TV Despite Injury

Chelsea Green is dealing with an ankle injury, but she isn’t planning to disappear from WWE TV anytime soon.

The injury happened on the February 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, where Green took part in a triple threat match with Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Stratton won the match after hitting the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Green and earned her spot in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match on February 28.

After that, reports surfaced that suggested that Green had been hurt. PWInsider confirmed the injury was serious enough that WWE pulled her from Saturday’s AAA TV tapings. Green herself seemed to back that up during a FaceTime call with Ethan Page. On the call, she appeared wearing a walking boot.

According to PWInsider, WWE believes Green suffered a bad ankle sprain but avoided any broken bones. There is still no official timeline for when she’ll be cleared to wrestle again.

Fightful Select added that WWE is hopeful the injury won’t keep her out for too long.

Chelsea Green Shares Update on Injury and WWE TV Status

Even while injured, Green hasn’t lost her sense of humor. She shared a graphic photo of her ankle on social media and jokingly blamed WWE’s “negligence” for the injury. She also listed her “requirements” for the next SmackDown. These included Fiji water, a wheelchair with a back warmer, red M&M’s, and “a small man to push the wheelchair (in a tuxedo and under 5’4).”

“!! @WWE mgmt !! Per your negligence on Friday, I will be sending a list of demands for this upcoming SmackDown. List includes but is not limited to: – fiji water – wheelchair with a back warmer – red m&ms – a small man to push said wheelchair (must be in tuxedo & under 5’4),” Green wrote.

Her injury also affected plans outside WWE. With Green unavailable, Ethan Page had to defend the AAA World Mixed Team Championship alongside La Hiedra against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana at the AAA tapings.

While a timeline for her return to the ring remains unclear, Chelsea Green fully plans to stay on WWE TV, even if she has to do it from a wheelchair.
