Rob Van Dam is officially set for WrestleMania 42 weekend, with the WWE Hall of Famer announced for a WWE World appearance in Las Vegas.
WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium, and RVD will appear the following day.
Fanatics Events confirmed that Van Dam will take part in a signing session at WWE World on April 20. The announcement also teased that his appearance may not be the only surprise planned for the fan-focused festivities.
While no confirmation about his in-ring involvement has come to light, the Whole F’n Show is at least guaranteed to show up — pen in hand if not boots on.

Van Dam has not wrestled for WWE since 2014, though he remains active on the independent scene. He most recently appeared at the Saturday Night’s Main Event special in December 2025. He appeared ringside during John Cena’s final match.
His legacy in WWE includes capturing the WWE Championship from John Cena at ECW One Night Stand nearly 20 years ago, a moment that still stands as one of the most memorable cash-ins of that era.
Beyond his upcoming appearance, Van Dam recently spoke with GamesHub about the current state of wrestling. He noted that he now prefers watching women’s wrestling over men’s matches.
Reflecting on the division’s growth, he praised today’s performers — particularly those in NXT — for closing the athletic gap. He suggested that women’s wrestling could one day be just as popular as men’s wrestling.
WrestleMania 42 is already shaping up with major storylines, including Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship and Liv Morgan’s pending decision as this year’s Royal Rumble winner. RVD’s WWE World appearance adds another layer to the weekend’s lineup.
