WWE NXT Taping In Atlanta Canceled, Update on New Venue

Plans for WWE NXT‘s upcoming stop in Atlanta have hit an unexpected roadblock — and fans who purchased tickets have already begun receiving notifications.

The NXT taping scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta has been canceled, according to Ticketmaster.

The ticketing site lists the event as officially scrapped. They have noted that refunds will be issued automatically to the original form of payment within 14 to 21 days.

However, this may not be the end of the story.

WWE Expected To Move NXT Taping Back to Performance Center

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the Atlanta taping could move back to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando rather than fully abandoned. The change reportedly stems from a local permitting issue.

Per PWInsider, WWE production trucks traditionally park in a lot adjacent to Center Stage when running events there. That parking area has since been sold, making it far more difficult to mount a full broadcast production. The situation would have required additional permits to stage the trucks, complicating logistics for the live television taping.

While WWE has not yet made an official announcement, PWInsider reports that confirmation could arrive in the coming days.

The February 24 event does not have any official matches listed. Meanwhile, NXT continues as scheduled, with the February 17 episode set to feature North American Champion Ethan Page defending his title against Shiloh Hill. A fatal four-way tag team match could also materialize to determine the next challengers for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

For now, Atlanta is off the map — at least temporarily. If the move back to Orlando materializes, WWE NXT will once again call the Performance Center home, proving that sometimes even the best-laid plans need a quick pivot before the bell rings.
