WWE has officially given one of its most physically imposing duos a name, and the declaration came with a warning shot to the women’s tag team division.
On the February 20 episode of SmackDown, Nia Jax and Lash Legend were interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton. What began as a routine question quickly turned into a branding moment that may reshape the division’s landscape.
‘Irresistible For-Ces’ Revealed as New WWE Tag Team Name
During the segment, Saxton referred to Nia Jax by her long-standing nickname, “The Irresistible Force.” Jax immediately corrected him, making it clear that she and Legend will now be known collectively as the “Irresistible Forces.”
The updated moniker is a direct nod to Jax’s established persona, now expanded into a two-woman wrecking crew. With Jax’s power and Legend’s athletic presence, the name fits like a glove — or perhaps more accurately, like a double-team slam.
However, the announcement didn’t stop at a new identity. The duo also confirmed they will challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY next week on SmackDown.
The upcoming title match follows a clash between the two teams on February 13, which ended in a no-contest. That unresolved finish left unfinished business, and now the Irresistible For-Ces are getting another opportunity — this time with the championships on the line.
The timing is notable, as WrestleMania 42 season approaches and momentum in the women’s tag division continues to build. With Ripley and SKY firmly established as champions, Jax and Legend represent a uniquely dominant challenge.
Whether this newly branded force can convert momentum into gold remains to be seen. But one thing is certain — on SmackDown, the “Irresistible Forces” have officially arrived.
