Ethan Page Says WWE Main Roster Title Run Could Make Him A Greater North American

Ethan Page is a great North American. Some might say he’s the greatest North American ever. However, Page is sure he can become even greater in 2026.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with NXT North American Champion Ethan Page at WWE 2K26 Creator Fest at WWE Headquarters. Page recently declared himself as the greatest North American champion in WWE NXT history. He certainly has a case for that claim, as he has the longest title reign and most title defenses.

Now, Page teased that facing more worthy contenders could make him an even greater North American, as would a WWE United States Championship reign.

“Ooh, this year… Well, I could go after the US Championship in North America. If my goal is to become a greater North American, that’s definitely on the bucket list,” Ethan Page explained. “I think I’ve been representing my country, Canada, very well, but also all of North America.

“I’ve defended the championship against wrestlers in AAA, facing luchadors from Mexico, fellow Canadians like Tyler Breeze, and top American talent the company has to offer. I’ve also competed against champions from TNA, EVOLVE, and LFG — I just beat Shiloh Hill, the winner of LFG. I think I’ve proven myself, and to continue proving it, I need more worthy contenders and challengers. And that’s not Myles Borne.”

Ethan Page reveals his ‘Rushmore’ of greatest Canadian wrestlers

The ‘Mount Rushmore’ debate is a popular one, but it might not be a comparison that Canadians can relate to. Instead, Ethan Page pointed out that Hamilton, the part of Canada he is from, has more waterfalls, and CM Punk should check out the view.

“It would probably be a waterfall. And it would be nice if CM Punk jumped off it. Hamilton has the most waterfalls — or maybe Ontario has the most waterfalls in all of Canada. We don’t have mountains, buddy.”

Page then named his four greatest Canadian wrestlers, one of whom was himself, and his AAA World Mixed Tag Team co-Champion, Chelsea Green.

“Me… Chelsea Green, Owen Hart… and Test,” Page proclaimed. “I said Val Venis once. I regret it.”

Val Venis is best known for his 11-year run in WWE, where he was a two-time Intercontinental Champion and World Tag Team Champion. However, today’s wrestling fans are more familiar with his polarizing political commentary and anti-trans remarks, which have been criticized by many wrestling personalities, including Page’s on-air partner, Chelsea Green.
