Mick Foley is excited about one of his stories getting the Hollywood treatment.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently revealed that he had a meeting with a top Hollywood executive about potentially turning one of his stories into a movie.
Fans should not confuse the project with the previously discussed biopic, which Paul Walter Hauser is attached to star in as Foley. As Foley clarified, this new project would be based on real-life experiences, and he could even portray himself in the film.
“MOVIE DEAL FOR MICK? I’m very happy about my meeting with a top Hollywood exec about turning one of my stories into a movie. This is a separate project from the biopic that’s in the works – a unique story based on real life experiences. I might even get to portray myself! …have a nice day!,” Foley wrote.
Paul Walter Hauser to star in Mick Foley biopic
Speaking to The Stunner’s Rob Pasbani in a recent interview, Hauser confirmed he is indeed attached to the Mick Foley biopic as the titular character and that the project will be a limited series rather than a standard feature film.
“Yeah. No, we can we can kind of break that news. I haven’t said it yet, but I’m attached to play Mick. A limited series. We haven’t we haven’t gone out to market with it yet, but… it’s happening,” Paul Walter Hauser said.
“I think you know he also had a great sense of humor and he was super smart, had a great mind for the business and I hopefully I can bring some of my personality to that aspect as well because when you tell the story you got to humanize the guy. We’re not just telling a Mankind story. It’s like no this is the Mick Foley story.”
