AEW Dynamite Results

We hear comments from the competitors in the upcoming AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match. The broadcast team then previews the rest of the action before airing a package for the five-on-five “Mile High Madness Anything Goes” match.

Jon Moxley makes his way to the ring for the opening contest on AEW Dynamite. The Death Rider takes on the luchador El Clon in a Continental Title Eliminator Match. Renee Paquette asks Marina Shafir about the significance of the pre-match slap. “There is no peace for great men. There’s no pain in that slap, only joy,” explains Shafir.

Jon Moxley (c) vs. El Clon – AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match

  • The closing sequence saw Moxley plant Clon with the Paradigm Shift, followed by a Death Rider for the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Grade: B+

Moxley has been consistent throughout his AEW Continental Championship reign. The loss at the hands of Takeshita may have dented his momentum, but the champion appears to be rebounding well. As for El Clon, he deserves a hefty bonus from Don Callis after that strong performance.

Swerve Strickland appears on AEW Dynamite

We’re shown a replay of last week’s main event between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland, including the post-match beatdown. As the video package ends, Prince Nana appears and tears into Tony Schiavone for complaining about Swerve’s actions. Nana then introduces the “most dangerous man in All Elite Wrestling” as Strickland makes his way through the crowd.

Swerve asks the AEW “sickos” if they missed him. He jokes that the company had to reinforce the commentary table after he put Omega through one last week. Strickland says he took Omega out because he threatened him on both a professional and personal level. He even drops a “yo mama” joke mid-promo, drawing a huge pop from the crowd.

Turning his attention to Hangman Page and the world title match at Revolution, Strickland says he chooses to live with no regrets before putting the entire AEW roster on notice. Anyone can get clipped if they step in his way, in case people have forgotten who the most dangerous man in AEW really is.

Brody King pre-match promo

Brody King reacts to Swerve Strickland branding himself the most dangerous man in AEW. King thinks Swerve isn’t worthy of that title, saying he has proven time and again that he’s the most dangerous man in the company. Brody then hypes up his upcoming match against Mark Davis before the show heads to a commercial break.

Have You Seen Roderick Strong?

Orange Cassidy’s music hits, but the screen displays a hilarious sketch of Roderick Strong labeled “Lost.” The graphic also offers a “$15.00 gift card” to anyone who can track down Strong after he walked out on Cassidy during their tag team match weeks ago on AEW Dynamite. The camera then pans to fans in the crowd holding up matching “Lost” signs.

Orange Cassidy vs. Gabe Kidd

  • The finish of the match saw Gabe Kidd gouge Cassidy’s eyes before planting him with a piledriver for the win.

Winner: Gabe Kidd

After the match, Kidd calls for Clark Connors as the War Dogs gang up on a defenseless Cassidy. Darby Allin’s music hits, and the former TNT Champion rushes out to make the save. Allin baits Connors into grabbing the skateboard before taking him out. Kidd attempts to intervene but gets dropped with an Orange Punch from Cassidy. Darby then caps off the sequence by driving the skateboard into Kidd’s back, drawing a huge reaction from the crowd.

Grade: A-

Good match made even better by the post-match angle. Kidd has one of the hardest strikes I’ve seen in All Elite Wrestling. He also has one of the sickest looking piledrives. Cassidy remains a fan favorite. It appears we’ll be getting a tag team match featuring Kidd, Connors, Cassidy, and Darby following this week’s events.

AEW Women’s World Title match next week

Excalibur reveals that Thunder Rosa will challenge Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship next week on AEW Dynamite in El Paso, Texas. We then see Renee Paquette standing by for comments from Kris Statlander and Thunder Rosa. Renee informs fans that Statlander will be cleared to compete this Saturday on Collision, where she will team with Rosa against the Sisters of Sin. Rosa delivers a passionate promo, only for Statlander to respond with a simple warning: “Be careful.”

Kevin Knight vs. Mansoor

  • The finish of the match saw Knight plant Mansoor with a UFO Splash for the win.

Winner: Kevin Knight

After the match, Kevin Knight celebrates the victory before turning his attention to the AEW World Championship bout at AEW Revolution. The Jet says he expects Hangman Page to mop the floor with MJF in their potential Texas Deathmatch. Confident in Page’s chances, Knight makes it clear that he wants to be the first challenger if Hangman walks out as champion.

Hangman Page and MJF decide their AEW Revolution match stipulation

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and recaps Hangman Page’s challenge, noting that Page promised he would never challenge for the world title if he fails to beat MJF at AEW Revolution. One-third of the World Trios Champions is introduced next, followed by AEW World Champion MJF. Friedman tells production to cut his mic and instructs the crowd to show respect for their champion.

Max reluctantly acknowledges Page’s boldness in offering to give up a future title shot if he loses. He quips that Page isn’t a historian, referencing how he (Max) once cost Cody Rhodes a title match against Chris Jericho. Friedman pauses to toss a gum out of his mouth to the crowd before proposing a coin toss. If it lands heads, MJF will choose the stipulation: a One-Way No Disqualification match. Page accepts but warns Max he knows what a Texas Deathmatch entails.

Page emphasizes the brutal nature of the match, telling MJF that Texas Death will change him. He dismisses MJF’s tricks, saying the title match is still all his. Page calls MJF’s stipulation idea “dog s*it,” and the crowd echoes the chant. He declares that he’s putting his future on the line and that if he can’t beat someone like Max at Revolution, he doesn’t deserve the title.

MJF flips the coin and tells Schiavone to announce the result: the stipulation will be MJF’s choice. As Max leaves the ring, Page demands the coin back. MJF refuses but is stopped by JetSpeed and Brodido. Max pleads for Page to use a different coin, revealing that he used a rigged coin. Tony Khan, via Schiavone, officially books a Texas Deathmatch for AEW Revolution. The segment ends with the crowd chanting “You f*cked up!” at MJF.

A couple of words from the Birds

Backstage footage airs featuring Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter following their television debut on last week’s AEW Dynamite. Windsor declares they are not here to shake hands before dropping an f-bomb, prompting Hayter to remind her she’s better than that — only to deliver her own expletive, cleverly referencing their tag team name.

Babes of Wrath (c) vs. MegaBad – AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Match

  • Babes of Wrath picked up a DQ win after Lena Kross struck Willow Nightingale with the championship belt.

Winners and still AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions: Babes of Wrath

After the match, Bayne and Kross deliver a beatdown, with Kross placing the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship belts on Megasus. Commentary highlights Kross’s imposing presence, noting she even towers over Bayne, before the show cuts to another commercial break.

Grade: C-

The crowd erupted with “bulls*it” chants, as the match was just starting to gain momentum when Kross delivered the cheap shot. In all fairness, Megan Bayne and Lena Kross could make a strong case for the titles given their imposing presence, especially compared to Bayne’s alliance with Penelope Ford. Ford was notably absent during the post-match beatdown of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, sparking speculation about a possible injury. She reportedly re-injured her foot and was quietly taken backstage during the run-in.

“F*ck ICE” Chants Take Over AEW Dynamite

As Brody King and Mark Davis wait for the opening bell, the live crowd erupts with “F*ck Don Callis” and “F*ck ICE” chants. King appears to acknowledge the chants with a smirk. King’s last live AEW Dynamite appearance before AEW Grand Slam also featured “F*ck ICE” chants, which gained mainstream media attention. Fans can read more about the controversy here.

Mark Davis vs. Brody King

  • The finish of the match saw Brody King plant Mark Davis with a second lariat for the win.

Winner: Brody King

After the match, King called out Swerve Strickland, declaring himself the number one in violence and the most dangerous man in AEW. He challenged Strickland to a match at AEW Revolution on March 15. The camera cut backstage to show Strickland and Prince Nana, with Strickland acknowledging the challenge with a grin. Bandido then grabbed a mic, signaling he wants a fight at Revolution as well. Andrade’s music hit, and El Idolo appeared with Don Callis, teasing a potential match between Andrade and Bandido at the pay-per-view.

Grade: A-

The anti-ICE chants this week may draw national attention, but the in-ring action was electric. King and Davis traded hard-hitting blows throughout, and the post-match setup for King vs. Strickland promises an exciting storyline heading into Revolution.

ProtOKada is born

Kyle Fletcher is in the middle of cutting a promo on Tommaso Ciampa when Kazuchika Okada approaches. The Rainmaker praises both himself and Fletcher for consistently being champions while taking a subtle jab at Konosuke Takeshita. Okada then proposes a tag team match featuring himself and Fletcher, dubbing the team “ProtOKada.” Fletcher accepts, and Renee Paquette even endorses the team name.

Mile High Madness Anything Goes Match

  • The finish of the match saw Jungle Jack Perry launched into Ricochet for a knee strike, with assistance from the Young Bucks, securing the win.

Winners: Jungle Jack Perry, Young Bucks and The Rascalz

Grade: A+

This match completely lived up to its chaotic gimmick. From the Bucks attacking before the opening bell to bodies flying through tables, it was nonstop action from start to finish. The Rascalz are perfect for AEW, and it’s great they signed with the company. Myron Reed got a chance to shine, Toa Liona’s strength was impressive, and Gates of Agony, often overlooked, got their spotlight in multi-man action. This main event was the perfect cap to an excellent episode of AEW Dynamite.

Overall Grade: A-

The Road to Revolution is shaping up strong. The Mox vs. El Clon opener delivered, and the MJF-Hangman promo exchange built intrigue for the world title. Texas Death is Page’s domain, but it seems unlikely Maxwell will drop the title at Revolution, which makes the finish even more intriguing. The women’s title match was a letdown, while Okada stealing the spotlight as the ultimate “player hater” was brilliant as usual. The main event delivered insane spots for the AEW fans, leaving plenty to look forward to next Wednesday’s Dynamite.
