Roman Reigns reacts to a surprising line from WWE Raw.
On this week’s edition of Raw, CM Punk raised eyebrows for a shocking remark he made during a promo. Punk mentioned Sika Anoa’i, the late father of Roman Reigns, as a part of his promo against “The Tribal Chief.”
“You went from getting beat at WrestleMania, now I’m going to bury you,” Punk said to Reigns. “And then you won’t be all alone anymore, because I’m going to bury you next to your father.”
Upon the line’s delivery, Reigns himself briefly appeared in disbelief before his expression transformed into anger. When Raw went off the air, Reigns was still visibly upset, as seen in a fan captured video of him heading up the entrance ramp.
In the world of professional wrestling, fans knew Sika Anoa’i as a WWE Hall of Famer and one-half of the legendary tag team The Wild Samoans. He sadly passed away in 2024 at the age of 79.
Reigns, his son, is slated to challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. Reigns earned this opportunity by winning the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble. He selected the respective title and Punk for the grand stage. Punk ensured this would remain the case by successfully defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor at WWE Elimination Chamber.
Reigns and Punk will collide in the main event of night two of WrestleMania 42, which emanates from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 19.
