There’s a reason why Jeff Hardy stopped reading fan comments under his social media posts, especially when it comes to his music gigs.
Besides being a professional wrestler, reigning TNA World Tag Team Champion Jeff Hardy is a member of “PeroxWhy?Gen,” a North Carolina-based rock band. Hardy started the band with former WWE star Shannon Moore, who later left to focus on his wrestling career. He is the lead vocalist of the band and has toured and released several studio albums and extended plays.
During a recent live performance, Jeff Hardy recounted ignoring social media comments after a fan hilariously compared him to AEW star Chris Jericho, who’s also the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Fozzy.
“Comments on my recent Instagram posts when I would promote these shows, and I started reading some of the comments,” Jeff Hardy said. “I was like, ‘Ooh! Aw, man!’ I never went down that rabbit hole, like looking atcomments, but I’ll let someone get to me. But my favorite one from that period in time is, ‘Please. Stop. Now! You make Jericho look like a good singer.'”
Jeff Hardy left AEW for TNA after watching a Will Ospreay match
During a recent appearance on the I Love Wrestling podcast, Jeff Hardy opened up about leaving AEW for TNA in 2024. He praised Will Ospreay’s brief run in the iMPACT Zone and noted that one of Ospreay’s matches made him realize that TNA was the right fit for him and that he needed to reunite with his brother, Matt Hardy, and help the promotion evolve.
“Everything’s great, and I feel like we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be. You know, I think everything worked out the way it was supposed to, especially when my AEW deal kind of ran out,” Jeff Hardy said. “There was a part of me that said, ‘I wonder if I should just take this deal from AEW and try to, you know, build myself up into this amazing superhero wrestler and stay there for a year and just see how things go,’”
“But then I was watching a Will Ospreay match, and I was like, ‘No, I need to go back to TNA. I need to go to TNA. I think I need to go to TNA and tag with my brother, do the Hardys thing, and help them evolve.’ So yeah, I think everything worked out exactly the way it was supposed to,” Jeff Hardy said.
