Danhausen made a big impact with his WWE debut, and even John Cena took notice.
WWE teased a mystery crate for weeks on Raw. At WWE Elimination Chamber, Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis opened the crate near the stage. Inside, they found a wooden coffin. Danhausen stepped out with dancers in face paint and handed a jar of teeth to Michael Cole before the lights went out.
Fans gave the debut mixed reactions, but Danhausen quickly stayed involved. Earlier this week he made an appearance on WWE RAW, he appeared backstage with Adam Pearce and The Judgment Day.
During the segment, Danhausen said he liked Dominik’s title belts. Dominik told him to leave before something bad happened. Danhausen replied that Mysterio’s was cursed and then disappeared.
The curse seemed to work. Later that night, Mysterio lost his Intercontinental Championship to Penta. After these appearances, John Cena reacted in his usual quiet way. He posted a photo of Danhausen on Instagram without any caption. Danhausen noticed the post and replied, “Danhausen sees you John. Hustle. Loyalty. Respecthausen. ?”
Although Cena officially retired from in-ring competition after his final match against Gunther at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13. Fans would have loved to see an interaction between him and Danhausen.
