WWE‘s Alexa Bliss had to face some awkward questions at the doctor’s office due to her injuries.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss’ husband, Ryan Cabrera, recently appeared on Artist Friendly with Joel Madden. During the conversation, he spoke about what the wrestlers put themselves through in the ring. He noted that when they visit the pediatrician after Bliss comes home with bruises, the doctor would ask her if things are okay at home to confirm the injuries weren’t due to any domestic violence.
“But what’s tough is she’ll come home and have like bruises everywhere, like all over her arms. So if we go to the pediatrician, if I go to the bathroom, they’ll be like, ‘Are you okay? Is everything okay at home?’ I’m like, ‘No, my wife’s a wrestler. This is what happens.’ You know, their elbows are all beat up. Right now, it looks like there’s an arm print on her arm. I’m like, gotta let people know you’re a wrestler,” Cabrera said.
During the interview, Ryan Cabrera also said that he’s gotten a lot of death threats since marrying Alexa Bliss, including from her stalker.
WWE NXT star credits Alexa Bliss for inspiring her wrestling career
During a recent interview on the Going Ringside podcast, former NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley explained how Alexa Bliss made her realize there’s more wrestling than what people see in the ring.
“When you look at her and you see the craziness that she can bring to the ring, like she can tell a story so much with her face and her eyes. To me, she just stood out. She is what helped me realize that there is more to pro wrestling than just what you see in the ring. She’s the one that made me realize there is story. There’s something to connect with.” Paxley said about Alexa Bliss. [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
