Jade Cargill recently gave rare praise to her WrestleMania 42 opponent Rhea Ripley after their heated exchanges in recent weeks.
Last week, Ripley and Cargill made headlines because of a tense back-and-forth on social media. After WWE Elimination Chamber, the two stars argued online. Cargill accused Ripley of using backstage politics and speaking to creative to secure their WrestleMania match. Ripley responded by dismissing those claims and questioning Cargill’s professionalism.
The rivalry continued on WWE SmackDown when the two finally came face-to-face on television. Cargill first offered a handshake but quickly took a shot Ripley. Ripley fired back and told Cargill she would have to take the championship by force.

Despite the tension between them, Cargill recently praised one part of Ripley’s in-ring abilities. During an appearance on the Hawks AF podcast with DC Young Fly, Cargill was asked which wrestler has the best finishing move besides her own.
Cargill mentioned Ripley and praised her signature move. “I would say maybe Rhea Ripley. I like the Riptide… it doesn’t seem like it’s easy and it seems like it really hurts.”
