Mick Foley Takes A Shot At Donald Trump About What He Learned From WWE

Mick Foley thinks this is what Donald Trump may have learned from WWE.

Last year, Foley made national headlines when he called out WWE over its growing ties with the White House. The WWE Hall of Fame legend eventually cut ties with the promotion and was subsequently removed from a Supercard event.

“PARTING WAYS WITH WWE While I have been concerned about WWE‘s close relationship with Donald Trump for several months — especially in light of his administration’s ongoing cruel and inhumane treatment of immigrants (and pretty much anyone who ‘looks like an immigrant’) — reading the President’s incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me,” Foley posted on his Facebook page.

While some, including Jim Cornette, welcomed Mick Foley’s decision to stand firm on his principles, others such as fellow WWE Hall of Famer Kane said Foley’s political stance was wrong but noted that his former tag team partner was entitled to his opinion.

Mick Foley asked question about Donald Trump in new interview

In a new interview with CNN Senior Correspondent Donie O’Sullivan, Foley was asked what he thinks U.S. President Donald Trump may have picked up from WWE during his numerous appearances with the promotion.

“I think he learned the importance of repeating a single thought until it becomes accepted fact,” Mick Foley said.

The Hardcore Legend also brought up the McMahon-Levesque family photo meme from the White House, joking that many of the people in the frame have been on the receiving end of a stunner from Steve Austin.

“There was a photo in the Oval Office of the President and the McMahons, and you’re like, ‘Wow, four people in that photo have received a Stone Cold Stunner.’ You know, like, it’s a little close.”

Donald Trump previously appointed former WWE executive Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education. However, she is not the only WWE-connected figure to appear at the White House, as WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque joined Trump in endorsing a health campaign in December.
