The March 13 episode of WWE SmackDown featured a bizarre chain of events involving Danhausen and The Miz — and by the end of the night, the outspoken A-Lister found himself laid out in the ring.
What began as a backstage encounter tied to Danhausen’s ongoing “curse” storyline soon carried over into a chaotic Miz TV segment later in the show.
As it turned out, ignoring a “Very Nice, Very Evil” warning might not be the best business decision — at least in storyline terms.
Danhausen’s Curse Looms Over Miz TV Segment on SmackDown
Earlier in the night, Danhausen confronted The Miz backstage and offered him one of his signature T-shirts. He also pitched the idea of replacing Miz TV with his own celebrity talk show segment.
The Miz quickly shut the idea down and refused to wear the shirt. Danhausen responded in character by “cursing” him before the show cut to a commercial.
The moment tied into Danhausen’s current WWE persona, where he inflicts curses on his detractors at the first sign of disrespect aimed at him.
The gimmick has already played into previous segments — including a moment on the March 2 episode of Raw where Dominik Mysterio was cursed backstage before losing the Intercontinental Championship to Penta later that night.
Later on SmackDown, Miz hosted Miz TV with music star Jelly Roll as his guest. The two shared a light moment during the entrance before the conversation quickly turned heated.
Miz attempted to position himself as a potential mentor for Jelly Roll in WWE, but the musician pushed back. Jelly Roll told Miz he had a history of betraying partners and dismissed the idea outright.
The exchange escalated as Miz attempted to defend his reputation as a locker room leader. Jelly Roll fired back by calling him a “locker room loser.” This turned the segment into a verbal sparring match worthy of its own promo battle.
The situation worsened when Kit Wilson entered the ring and joined the confrontation. As tensions boiled over, Wilson ducked during a brief scuffle — leaving Miz directly in the line of fire.
Jelly Roll delivered a right hand that knocked Miz down, bringing the segment to a sudden end. For Miz, it was a rough night — proving that ignoring Danhausen’s curse might leave more than just a bad omen hanging in the air.
