Matt Jackson says Adam Cole continues to get better every day.
Cole has been out of action since July 2025, when he announced that he was stepping away from wrestling to deal with some health issues. It was later reported that Cole was dealing with concussion issues. The issue was apparently serious enough that Cole originally planned to announce his retirement. However, he later elected to announce an extended absence.
Tony Khan said that there will always be a role for Cole in AEW. He appeared on the Worlds End Zero Hour broadcast in a taped message, but has not made a full return to AEW yet.
During this week’s episode of Being The Elite, Matt Jackson answered a fan question about Cole’s status and health. Jackson said Cole is getting better every day before praising him as an amazing person in and out of the ring.
“I love Adam Cole so much. He is the sweetest man I think I’ve ever met. Not [just] in the business but in life. And I think every day he is improving and getting better,” Jackson said.
Jackson thanked the fan for his post, as it reminded him he needed to check in on Cole again.
“I miss him so much. I think he’s one of the most talented, gifted, charismatic wrestlers that ever was, and a much better human being,” he continued. “Shoutout to Adam Cole, we talk about you all the time in the locker room.”
Despite not being active in the ring, Adam Cole maintains a connection with his fans on Twitch. You can check out what he’s up to on The Chugs Twitch channel.
