WWE’s Tiffany Stratton Reveals How Last-Minute Her In-Ring Debut Was

Tiffany Stratton looks back on her fast track to WWE television.

In August 2021, WWE announced Tiffany Stratton as one of its newest recruits reporting to the Performance Center. Less than two months later, Stratton then marked her televised in-ring debut with a victory over Amari Miller on WWE 205 Live.

According to Stratton, this debut came together quite last-minute as current NXT head booker Shawn Michaels gave her just one day notice of it happening.

“I don’t think you guys realize like how fast I got on TV,” Stratton told Nikki and Brie Bella of The Nikki & Brie Show. “People think like oh my god this person they picked it up so fast, this person, they picked it up so fast. I picked it up very fast because I was thrown on TV like four weeks into my career. It was like four to six weeks, they had me on a 205 Live match with Amari Miller.

Stratton Scrambled To Get Gear Together

“I remember Shawn, I was in the PC lobby. Was grabbing a package or something and Shawn comes in and he goes, ‘Can you have a match tomorrow?’ It was like Monday night and I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘You got gear?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ And I didn’t. I did not have gear. Wore this pink little skirt and this pink furry top from Amazon and these shoes from Shein. So I wrestled in that. Everyone was like, ‘Oh my god, that was so amazing. That was your first match ever on TV or whatever in front of a live crowd.’ And so after that, I think it was like maybe six to eight weeks later I was on NXT TV and they were vignetting.”

Following her win over Miller on 205 Live, Stratton defeated Fallon Henley in her NXT TV in-ring debut in December 2021. By the summer of 2022, Stratton cemented herself as a regular fixture on NXT programming, with her first NXT Women’s Championship reign then coming in 2023.
