WWE’s Chelsea Green Names Her Most Cringe Career Moment

Chelsea Green embraces the cringe.

By her own admission, WWE star Chelsea Green is virtually willing to do anything for television time, no matter how ridiculous or messy. What has been the most cringe-worthy moment of her career, though?

According to Green herself, that can be traced back to her run as Laurel Van Ness, a drunken bridezilla character in TNA.

“I was just asked that question,” Green told 93.7 The Fan when asked if there is a wrestling idea she’d turn down. “I said no, but I feel like that’s setting myself up for absolute disaster. Do you know what I mean? There’s got to be something I’ll say no to. But at this point, if the check clears, I’m doing it. You’re gonna put me in a dumpster, say less. Pour salsa on my head, say less.

“I’ve done so many ridiculous things. The crazy thing is that I think the most ridiculous was when I was the drunk bride, the drunk jilted bride in TNA in 2016/17. And I was single then. That was real cringe. I don’t think it gets any worse than that. So at this point, I’ll do anything.”

As Laurel Van Ness, Green was famously left at the altar when her soon-to-be husband, Braxton Sutter, turned her down and professed his love for Allie. In the aftermath, Green transformed into a drunken, heartbroken ex-bride described as the “Hot Mess.”

“If I was an actress and I was in Hollywood, you gave me a role, and it said do X, Y, and Z, I’m doing it. So why would I treat WWE any different? And guess what? The people who say no, I get those opportunities,” she continued. “I love that for me.”
