The talk about high WrestleMania ticket prices has become a big topic lately. On the April 10, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown, Pat McAfee revealed big news regarding it. What started as a back-and-forth with CM Punk has now turned into a storyline that mixes real issues with WWE storylines. Now, it has made a real impact on fans as well.
For the past few weeks, ticket prices for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas have been heavily criticized. Some tickets have reportedly gone up to thousands of dollars, which has upset many fans. The issue is also being linked to WWE’s new direction under TKO Group Holdings.
Punk openly spoke against these prices on this week’s WWE RAW. He even asked McAfee to tell “the agent” who pushed him to WWE to lower the ticket prices.
Pat McAfee mentions ‘25% Off’ WrestleMania tickets during SmackDown segment
Now, on this week’s SmackDown, McAfee made fun of fans for complaining and took shots at Punk. His promo was full of insults to fans and Cody Rhodes. However, at the same time, he tried to present himself as someone who could fix the problem.
Then quite surprisingly, McAfee said he had worked out a deal with WrestleMania’s sponsor, Ram Trucks, to help fans with ticket prices. He announced that fans buying tickets for WrestleMania Saturday would get a 25% discount, available from SmackDown until the end of RAW next week. This got a big reaction because it actually addressed the issue fans were talking about.
Even though McAfee kept insulting the crowd and joked that WrestleMania is nothing without Randy Orton, the discount showed that WWE might be listening to fans.
Later, in the segment, Cody Rhodes came out and called McAfee a “play wrestler,” saying he doesn’t belong in WWE. The WWE Champion also spoke about how fans are like family, not just customers, which was very different from McAfee’s attitude. Soon after, Randy Orton got involved with Jelly Roll, and things turned chaotic.
