Becky Lynch Reveals Surprising Truth About WWE WrestleMania Main Event

Becky Lynch revealed surprising details about her main event match in WWE WrestleMania 35.

She faced Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair that night. The match marked the first time women headlined the show. The match itself was high-profile and important and it was a winner takes all triple threat match.

Lynch won both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s championships in that match. She pinned Ronda Rousey with a roll-up finish. It was later suggested that the ending did not go as planned. That detail remained part of the discussion around the match.

Recently, Becky Lynch spoke about that experience again. She discussed how it felt after reaching that moment. The focus was on the reality of main-eventing the show. Not just the build-up, but what came after it.

Becky Lynch reflects on the reality of main eventing WWE WrestleMania

Speaking on the Good One Podcast, Becky Lynch opened up about how it actually felt, which wasn’t as exciting as you might think.

“Yeah. You just get there and you go, ‘huh? All right. What else? Oh, look at that mountain up there. How do I get over there?’ Yeah. I think that’s the thing. When you’ve built something up, you kind of think that on the other end of it, it’s going to be something, and it’s never anything. And it is. It’s just such a cliche, but it’s all about the journey. Like, it’s not.

“You get there, and you think fireworks are going to go off. And by the way, there were fireworks going off. There was pyro. There was pyro. But at the same time, you’re just like, ‘Yep. All right. All right. I had a match.’ Yeah like I’ve had the night before and the night, you know what I mean? Like every week before this. And tomorrow I will get up very early in the morning. I’ll do some media, and I’ll go out and I’ll do it again. Yeah. Because there’s no break. There’s no offseason. You don’t settle into it.”
