New Stipulation Added To Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor at WWE WrestleMania 42

Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Balor at WWE WrestleMania 42 just got a major twist.

In a clip shared by ESPN on X, Dominik confronted RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, arguing that his contract never included facing Balor’s dangerous alter ego, The Demon. Pearce didn’t exactly disagree, admitting Dominik had a point, but quickly flipped the situation by announcing the match would now be contested as a Street Fight.

The stipulation clearly caught Dominik off guard, especially as he tried to lean on his credentials as the reigning AAA Mega Champion to avoid the chaos.

The looming presence of “The Demon” has been building for weeks. On the April 6 episode of WWE Raw, Balor hinted at unleashing his darker persona after an attack by Dominik and JD McDonagh. In a chilling backstage segment, Balor suggested that a side of him long buried had resurfaced. A subtle visual cue, a brief flash of the Demon’s eyes, only added to the tension as he warned, “At WrestleMania, it’s coming for you.”

Balor last brought out The Demon at WWE WrestleMania 39, where he faced Edge (aka Adam Copeland) inside Hell in a Cell. Despite a brutal performance, he came up short against the Rated-R Superstar.
