Trick Williams went into WrestleMania 42 with one mission, and he accomplished it in stellar fashion, winning the WWE United States title.
In a match against a reigning champ in Sami Zayn, Williams wasted little time in getting to work. Although Zayn wouldn’t give in early, it was Williams who walked out on top. Toward the end of the match, Williams’ ringside partner, rapper Lil Yachty, tried to interfere, but Zayn hit him from behind, causing Williams to go help.
Zayn then hit a Helluva Kick on Williams which nearly knocked him out for a full 10 count. After getting back in the ring, Williams flipped momentum, hitting back-to-back Trick Shots that Zayn kicked out of. The match ended after Zayn hit Williams with an Exploder in the corner, then set up a Helluva Kick.
Williams managed to hit a Trick Shot right as Zayn came running, and Williams had officially won. With the win, Williams earns his first title in his young WWE career, and he celebrated properly with his family and Yachty.
