The late Bo Lueders’ ashes got a last ride at WWE WrestleMania 42 thanks to CM Punk.
Bo Lueders was the guitarist of the Chicago-based hardcore punk band Harm’s Way and the co-host of the HardLore podcast. He was friends with several pro wrestlers, including CM Punk, Danhausen, and AEW’s Brody King. He passed away on April 2 at the age of 38.
At WrestleMania 42, CM Punk paid tribute to his late friend Bo Lueders, several deceased WWE employees, and his beloved dog Larry through the jacket he wore during his entrance.
Now, a post on HardLore podcast’s official Instagram account shows Lueders’ girlfriend, Taylor, and co-host Colin Young at the PLE with his ashes in a familiar-looking urn. The post noted that Lueders got his last ride at the event, thanks to the former World Heavyweight Champion.
“Bo’s last ride… We took our guy all the way to Wrestlemania inside a sacred wrestling artifact. Thank you to the best in the world @cmpunk,” the post read.
The “sacred” artifact is believed to be an urn used during CM Punk’s feud with The Undertaker. The post also shows CM Punk and Danhausen with Bo Lueders’ urn backstage at WrestleMania 42. They also attended the funeral earlier this month with AEW’s Brody King.
Colin Young started a GoFundMe that would help Bo Lueders’ mother, Wendy, and girlfriend, Taylor, to help cover the costs of both afterlife and memorial services in Chicago. The campaign already reached $164,000, well over the goal. A large portion of the additional money will be donated to mental health services in the Chicago area.
