WWE Sources Believe TKO Pricing Is Worsening Talent Privacy Issues With Fans — Report

There is a growing concern in WWE after its merger with TKO Group Holdings. Reports say that higher ticket prices and meet-and-greet costs are starting to affect fans’ interactions with wrestlers, and not in a good way.

Some WWE superstars, like CM Punk, have even called out the high ticket prices live on TV. High prices are pushing fans away from official events. Because of that, some fans try to meet wrestlers in public places, and it sometimes gets out of control. Punk and Damian Priest have recently faced it.

WWE source suggests pricing may be affecting fan behavior

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, some WWE sources believe these higher prices are making things worse. He mentioned that internally, people think there is a connection between expensive tickets and more fans approaching wrestlers in uncontrolled places.

“WWE sources tell us they think TKO pricing is exacerbating the issues of privacy they face from fans,” he tweeted.

This became more noticeable during WrestleMania 42 weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Ticket prices were much higher than before. Two-night passes reportedly started at over $850, while premium seats went into even tens of thousands. This made it hard for many regular fans to afford attending.

In the past, tickets for shows like RAW and SmackDown were around $75. Now, they are often over $100. WWE seems to be pushing a more premium experience, but not everyone is happy about it.

During WrestleMania week, this reportedly became a bigger issue. Wrestlers staying in hotels connected to casinos were surrounded by fans in lobbies and near elevators. Security wasn’t always enough to handle the situation. This raised serious safety concerns.

There were also signs that the pricing strategy affected ticket sales. WrestleMania 42 reportedly had slower sales at times, leading to internal meetings and last-minute discounts. Pat McAfee and Punk have hinted at the issue.

Finding the right balance is the new challenge. WWE needs to make money, but it also needs to stay connected to its fans. If prices keep rising, the company risks pushing away its core audience, which would create more problems for its own talent at the same time.
