Trey Miguel is taking some time to heal from a broken patella.
Miguel, the former TNA International Champion, recently revealed that he is currently sidelined due to a broken patella, or a broken kneecap. Miguel indicated that the injury happened during his most recent match, a title loss to the new champion, Mustafa Ali, at TNA Rebellion.
Despite the injury, Miguel was optimistic about his recovery, and the fact that he actually finished the match on a broken kneecap.
“Yesterday I found out my Patella is actually broken. Luckily no surgery should be necessary. Learning this blows my mind when I think about the fact that I finished that match against
@MustafaAli_X at Rebellion,” Trey Miguel wrote on Twitter/X. “It’s going to take some time but I’ll see you all again soon.”
A patella fracture, or a broken kneecap, is a serious injury that typically takes 3-6 months to recover from. Recovery could take longer if a patient needs surgery. However, Miguel is lucky that he can avoid going under the knife.
Prior to the injury, Miguel reigned as International Champion for 57 days. He earned his title shot by cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase.
