Kevin Nash has shared his reaction to the recent CM Punk controversy after WrestleMania weekend. He believes the problem isn’t just about one person; it’s a bigger issue with how WWE handles things during major events.
This comes after a new 911 audio clip, reported by TMZ, revealed another alleged incident involving Punk and a fan on April 20, 2026, at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. In the call, the fan claimed Punk shoved him in the chest when he tried to approach for a picture and an autograph.
Kevin Nash criticizes WWE’s Vegas setup after CM Punk incident
This is a different situation from the earlier incident that same weekend, where Punk knocked a phone out of a fan’s hand. That happened when the fan reportedly got too close to AJ Lee and Bayley.
Even with all the attention on Punk, Nash feels people are missing the bigger picture. He says the real issue is the environment in Las Vegas during WrestleMania. Wrestlers are always surrounded by fans with very little control over the situation.
Nash reacted to TMZ’s 911 audio on X. The WWE legend suggested that WWE should either stop using Las Vegas for talent stays or move wrestlers to more secure hotels.
“WWE needs to stay out of Vegas or move talent to a smaller hotel that can be secured. This happened to alot of the talent in Vegas. These guys just want a minute to chill. Getting across a casino floor is nearly impossible,” Nash tweeted.
In the second alleged incident, the fan claimed Punk looked angry and acted aggressively. However, no official report was filed.
Because both incidents happened so close together, reactions have been quite divided. Some blame Punk for how he reacted. However, others align with Nash, suggesting WWE’s planning might be putting wrestlers in tough situations.
