MJF may finally have found a price too high to pay for another shot at the AEW World Championship- his hair. Things got even funnier when MJF’s wife, Alicia Atout, reacted online with a joke.
During this week’s AEW Dynamite, current champion Darby Allin successfully defended the title against Kevin Knight on Dynamite. As the show was coming to a close, MJF interrupted and demanded another title shot. As expected, MJF tried several ways to convince Allin to give him the match.
First, he offered to put his famous Burberry scarf on the line. Allin rejected the offer. Then MJF offered his Dynamite Diamond Ring. Allin still said no. Running out of options, MJF then tried to offer Allin $1 million. But the AEW World Champion didn’t care about the money.
That’s when Darby Allin revealed what he really wanted. Making fun of the rumors about MJF’s hair treatment in Turkey, Allin said the only thing valuable enough was MJF’s hair. He officially challenged him to a “Championship vs. Hair” match at Double or Nothing.
MJF looked completely uncomfortable in the ring. He tried to calm things down and repeatedly asked Allin to “be reasonable,” but the champion refused to change his mind.
Allin then raised the stakes even more by announcing a contract signing for next week’s Dynamite. He warned MJF that if he refused the match or skipped the signing, he would never get another AEW World Title shot while Allin is champion.
Instead of giving an answer, MJF walked away.
MJF’s wife jokes about skipping honeymoon if he loses his hair
The strange challenge became one of the biggest talking points from Dynamite. MJF’s wife, Alicia Atout, also reacted online. She tweeted–
“I’ve been thinking about this a lot. @The_MJF, we can skip the honeymoon if you lose your hair. Going out in public wouldn’t be wise.”
Fans started posting memes and edited photos imagining a bald MJF in the replies. Some compared him to Kurt Angle during his bald WWE days, while others joked about possible wigs and hairstyles.
Last month, Alicia tweeted that she had brought up the prospect of a honeymoon to MJF. However, the conversation didn’t go well since he was “screwed outta the belt” at the time.
