Chaos followed Mason Rook once again on the May 12 episode of WWE NXT, but this time the destruction started before he even reached the ring.
Following last week’s violent attack on Tony D’Angelo, security personnel intercepted Rook as he arrived at the WWE Performance Center under direct orders from NXT management.
The segment showed Rook entering the building, accompanied by multiple security guards, after NXT General Manager Robert Stone reportedly issued strict instructions ahead of the show.
Security later escorted Rook out of the building in an effort to prevent another backstage ambush involving members of the NXT roster.
The decision came after Rook’s destructive actions on the May 5 episode of NXT, where the former independent wrestler known as Will Kroos officially revealed his WWE identity. Following a main event segment, Rook stormed the ring and laid out both D’Angelo and Tavion Heights with a brutal running Death Valley Driver.
Standing over the wreckage, Rook declared his new ring name before making it clear he had his sights set on the NXT Championship. At this point, “rookie mistake” doesn’t exactly apply — because Rook has entered NXT like a man trying to speedrun the entire locker room.
Mason Rook quickly becomes a major threat on WWE NXT
Rook first appeared in WWE on the April 28 episode of NXT while disguised as a fan in the crowd. Since then, the British powerhouse has cemented his reputation as one of the brand’s most aggressive new arrivals.
His storyline currently centers around dismantling NXT’s top stars, particularly D’Angelo and the championship scene surrounding him. According to the on-screen presentation, management’s decision to remove Rook from the Performance Center was designed to maintain order and protect roster safety after consecutive weeks of violent incidents.
However, Rook may not be the only looming danger in NXT’s evolving title picture. Reports surrounding the arrival of Naraku have also hinted at a growing battle between multiple powerhouse contenders targeting D’Angelo’s championship.
For now, though, Mason Rook’s presence alone appears to have forced NXT management into damage-control mode before the show even properly began.
