Brock Lesnar’s Surprise WWE RAW Return Sets Major Clash in Italy Rematch

Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE television during the May 18 episode of RAW in Greensboro, North Carolina, and he wasted no time reminding everyone why he’s still called The Beast Incarnate.

Just when retirement rumors seemed locked in tighter than a Kimura Lock, Lesnar stormed back into the spotlight. He set his sights on Oba Femi in violent fashion.

The chaos unfolded during Oba Femi’s open challenge segment at the Greensboro Coliseum. Before the challenge could properly begin, Lesnar charged the ring and blindsided the former NXT powerhouse during his entrance pose.

The crowd erupted as the former WWE Champion planted Femi with multiple F5s. He left the ring looking less like RAW and more like Suplex City zoning property.

Lesnar’s return instantly reignited the rivalry that began at WrestleMania 42, where Femi shocked the wrestling world by defeating Lesnar in under five minutes.

After that loss, Lesnar left his boots and gloves in the ring. This led many fans to believe his in-ring career was officially over.

Instead, RAW delivered a sharp swerve. Lesnar demolished Femi with four straight F5s before storming up the entrance ramp and shouting, “I don’t give a f**k,” on his way backstage.

Later in the show, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce confronted Paul Heyman about Lesnar’s apparent retirement paperwork. Heyman calmly responded that Brock was retired before handing Pearce a contract for Clash in Italy already signed by Lesnar.

Paul Heyman then told Pearce that if he could get Oba Femi’s signature, WWE would have “the biggest rematch in history.” While WWE has not officially confirmed the bout yet, the segment heavily pointed toward a blockbuster rematch at Clash in Italy on May 31.

For now, one thing is clear — Lesnar’s retirement appears to have been more storyline smoke screen than final bell.
