Roman Reigns has officially raised the stakes in his rivalry with Jacob Fatu. After the May 25, 2026, episode of WWE RAW, their upcoming Tribal Combat match at Clash in Italy now has huge consequences attached to it.
The story developed throughout RAW, starting backstage when Adam Pearce confronted Reigns about Fatu’s chaotic behavior. Pearce even suggested that Fatu should no longer be employed by WWE after everything he had done.
Reigns said that the situation had grown beyond management control. He explained that Fatu forced his hand by calling for Tribal Combat, a challenge Reigns had to accept because of Bloodline tradition.
However, the OTC said there needed to be consequences.
Roman Reigns says Jacob Fatu will serve him if he loses Tribal Combat
During the contract signing segment at the end of the show, Pearce came to the ring to oversee the signing. Fatu entered first, and after signing the contract immediately, he became angry at the crowd chanting “OTC” and started throwing tables and chairs at nearby security guards.
Then Roman Reigns made his entrance.
Even though Pearce wanted extra security around the ring, Reigns ordered everyone out. He reminded Pearce that by signing the contract, Jacob had already agreed to a blood oath and could not touch him before the match.
Standing face-to-face in the ring, the OTC said things could have been simple if Fatu had just acknowledged him after losing at Backlash. However, Fatu rejected that idea.
The Samoan Werewolf then admitted that Reigns did help in taking the Bloodline to the top of WWE. He credited Reigns for bringing the family success and power. However, he said Reigns had taken them as far as he could, and now it was time for a new leader. He also accused Reigns of bending the rules during their Backlash match just to survive. This pushed Reigns to raise the stakes for Clash in Italy.
Reigns said that if Fatu beats him, then Fatu becomes the new leader of the Bloodline, and Reigns will follow him. But if Fatu loses, Reigns promised to make him serve the OTC.
Reigns even said he would “domesticate” Fatu and eventually make him acknowledge him fully.
Fatu laughed at the stipulation and called it a “win-win” situation. He pointed out that even if Reigns beats him, he still keeps his WWE job. But if he wins, then everyone will have to acknowledge him instead.
The segment ended with the two men shaking hands and touching foreheads.
